Ron Johnson 1947-2015

I was privileged to spend some time with Ron this past summer while he worked on his racecar at Ken Dye's shop in Puyallup. I feel that I learned some valuable lessons that I hope I can remember, lessons about dignity as the closing chapter of life is written. My wife likes to say that getting old isn't for sissies. The hardest part of life comes at the end and often it passes with little fanfare. Ron lived life to the fullest that he could on any given day, some more than others, some less. I imagine that he is still doing just that, but with a lot less limitation. May we all be so fortunate.
My thoughts and prayer go out to you, Bonnie, and to all who mourn Ron's passing.
