Anyone in Conference looking to sell their Spec Miata, please get a hold of us! There is a good chance of making a deal!

I've raced my Spec Miata with Conference a few times starting a few years ago (Black #98). After some convincing, the Western Canada Motorsport Association (WCMA) which operates under ASN Canada FIA, finally approved Spec Miata as a recognized class starting in the 2013 season. We now have 13 Spec Miata's in our region; strong growth for its first season. We expect to have 21 cars for the 2014 season. As a result, there is a lot of demand for pre-built SM cars from our newest recruits. For example, there are half a dozen new SM racers currently shopping for a car and there will be even more demand soon. Most of the buyers are from Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta and their preference would be to not have to travel too far to pick up a car. Most of what is available for sale is out of California or even farther away. I started a thread on our forum to help people who are shopping for one: http://straightpipe.ca/forums/showthread.php?t=1909

Race City Speedway and it's road course in Calgary closed at the end of 2011. Castrol Raceway close to Edmonton, opened a new road course at the beginning of 2013 (about a 10 hour drive NE from Spokane). http://www.castrolraceway.com/. There are two new proposed tracks in their final stages of approval in the Calgary area (Badlands and Rockyview Motorsports Park). I started http://www.miatavsmiata.ca as a way to help reverse the dying trend of road racing in our region, especially while we waited for a new local track. I've also been encouraging our racers to participate in Conference races.

If you have a car for sale, you can email me and I'll pass it along or post the details on the Straightpipe.ca forum. miatavsmiata@gmail.com Thanks!

I live in SoCal these days and there are SMs for sale down here. If you folks need someone to check out a SoCal SM, just let me know.
