Survive the 25

It's just listed as "Auto Racing" (title) on TiVo, for those of you with Web-connected boxes (i.e., that support remote scheduling).

I wish I can say I was traveling but that timing of the show wasn't the best for the most viewers. Soon enough though I'll be traveling for the next two weeks with the first trip to Trinidad for 8 days and two days after getting back from that trip I'll be on my way to Barber for the next Grand-AM weekend.

Awesome... I didn't get to see it on TV so I am looking forward to watching it this evening! E Power!

Thanks for posting the link. I watched it and all I could say is that it was nice that they interviewed the Frost team guy in front of our pits with our car in the background. I was thoroughly disappointed in the "lack luster" coverage of the race in general. And the four teams that spent 5k for the interviews. I had a guy call me from Penn today and told me that "if I was thinking about road racing or endurance racing and watched this, I would change my mind." I have better videos on my website!

Not to hijack, but Richard, shouldn't you be on the road heading up here with the GTM instead of watching videos? Am I all dressed up with nowhere to go?

Again?

8 hours from Thunderhill to PIR and then another ~3 to Pacific Raceway

Yup, happened when I was 'young once' and there wasn't anything you wouldn't do for a fellow Vet.

A buddy was discharged out of San Diego and came to visit me for a week in San Francisco. As the weekend approached, he asked if I'd drive him up to his family's place in Portland? Without looking at the map I said... SURE! So we took off Friday night after work and....

Drove and... Drove and.... Drove! Where the h _ _ _ is Portland??? !!!!

Got there Saturday morning and had time for a short visit, couple of meals and back in the car for a LONG drive back to be at work Monday morning. Thought I was gonna die!

I was also young and foolish:
A while later, I co-signed a note for his VW with Household Finance. About a year later, I was STUCK with a $1,000 bill on the car. If anybody knows where Dennis Ashmead is, tell him to send money. But that doesn't have anything to do with driving time. :)

My schedule last year for the 25 was leave friday after school at 5pm, drive 14 hours from Bellingham, WA to Willows, CA then shoot photos for 25 hours during the race, then leave and drive 14 hours back up north te get back before school starts monday morning. Pretty silly if you ask me, but it was a ton of fun.

thrasher, got any pics of us in the 25? I would like to see some. we did not get any good photos from anyone last year.

thanks, Richard

GTM,

I've seen many, many good shots of your car on the various posting sites.

The one pit shot is really a good one. BUT, I think it will lead to a new rule in the Supp's next year.

Rule 99Z-100:
During pit stops for refueling and driver changes, the driver change must be completed without the use of a crane! :) :) :)

GTM,

Last years race did not end up turning out well as far as my photography went. I can have a look through and see what I have. I do have plenty of images of the 6hr Enduro if you are interested. send me an email to "ct_photo@comcast.net" and we can discuss.
