Bill, on your video you were wondering why not park you guys in the pits and then have a 5 minute to the checker, instead of finishing under a full course yellow.
Pacific has very very tight end of day time frames, even with no drags, and IRDC had already gotten permission to run past that so the special race could have as much time as possible for as much fun as possible (and you all did seem to have a good time). There wasn't anything else they could do.
