SCCA begins advertising on GOOGLE!

GTM,

No. Sadly, SCCA is just barely surviving holding a couple of regionals over on the Bremerton airport runway course and the one Double National a year at Pacific Raceway in May.

ICSCC has expanded from 2 Enduro's to 3 this year.

March one you attended.

August 7/8 at Mission Raceway in Canada put on by SCCBC

October 16 at Portland International put on by CSCC
This event is a 12 hour race with a 6 hour version within the race.

ALL of these are run under ICSCC Sanction. But info on the August and October events for 2010 are not available on their web sites as yet.

These events are run under the 'banner' of "Northwest Endurance Racing Series" which has its own web site that is hopelessly out of date... lol

Then there is the "Chump Car" 24 hour endurance race at Portland on Halloween. But I think the GTM-R is OVER valued to qualify :) :) This is not ICSCC sanctioned.

It was 6 and 12 last year. No telling what it might be this year, although I heard a rumor (from a knowledgeable source in CSCC) that it might be an 8-hour event again.

Which considering the overwhelming response to the poll indicating the preference for a 12 hour over an 8 hour, is curious.

Our team went to the trouble and expense to build an enduro-specific car to help support the series...and our bad habit...I sure hope that 8-hour rumor is just that, a rumor! That would be very disappointing.

Hey Rich

My understanding was that NWR was only holding time trials at Bremerton. The only race I heard of is a co-sanctioned event at ORP late in the year.

If they go back to 8 hours, would that mean you'd switch to 30 weight ball bearings?

THOMAS:

SCCA shows a Double Regional at Bremerton co-hosted with Big Island Hawaii region Aug. 27-28-29. And yes, a co-sanction with Oregon SCCA at ORP October 23-24.

All the rest at Bremerton are Time Trials and PDX.

Sad really.

Why can't they schedule the 12 hour in September? (NASA nats). October is to close to the 25 for me to attend. The only way that I could do it would be to rent the car out with a disclaimer so that I could afford the 25. if the GTM got wrecked I would not get it together in time for the 25 and this car is specific built for the 25. I couldn't come up there for anything less than a 6 hour.

GTM,

ICSCC is sprint racing right up until the weekend of Oct. 2/3 with 2 additonal sprint events in September. So holding the Portland International Enduro in September is pretty much out of the question.

I for one appreciate that your GTM-R is built to run the Thunderhill 25 and you have other races scheduled for 2010 around the country. Will be following your events on your web site. Really glad we got to see the car up here this year.

These enduros other than PR would not be associated with NWERS Rich as that entity has pretty much gone away, unless I didn't get the memo. Curious that it would state that.

SO I was just going to post up a quick rant about SCCA stiring for new members. I just received a call from a telemarketer offering me a reduced price on membership fees if I were to rejoin.

I told her sorry, there was no way in hell I would ever support NWR again until the race division leadership is gone. I'm sure she was just a 3rd party telemarketer and not with the SCCA... but maybe my comments will get back to someone at the national office somehow.

It's really too bad, I still think they have a great stepping stone into racing...
