Race numbers?

I have a question regarding numbers I've never seen addressed ...

My car and license sport the number "2".
Can my car have the number "02" on it instead? Or even "002" (using up the three character max)?

Or could another car in my group could be "02" and mine be number "2"?

Yep - In order to have more available numbers both "2" and "02" are separate and discrete numbers. By having one you don't have both.
