Cscc technical inpsection for the 2014 racing season

Allow me to introduce myself, Gary Presting Jr, CSCC Chief of Tech.

I would like to discuss tech procedure for this year.
Tech would go much more smoothly if we had more volunteers.
Fellow drivers make excellent tech assistants.

I need a list of drivers whom are willing to commit time to assist tech.
I would like to set up a tech training day, so we are all on the same
page as to what is acceptable & what is not. I can not tell you how
many so called tech inspections happened last year with the car
not present just because the "inspector" knew the driver
. This is
just not right!!!! Fellow drivers, you are on the track with cars
not having been properly teched, doesn't this seem unsafe to you?

Last year I had novice drivers & non-driver volunteers
(much appreciated by the way), unfortunately they do not all
have the necessary experience to be cut loose with the different
safety concerns we address in tech.

If I am unable to get committed volunteers, I will do it myself.
Unfortunately, it is too much work for one person, therefore annual
techs may not be done as we would all prefer. And I can only
hope all the cars & gear are teched before they need to be on track.

So please, I am asking for my fellow drivers to step forward & commit
to volunteer a set session on Friday evening or Saturday morning
per race weekend to allow your fellow drivers a hassle free & fun
weekend at the track!!!!!

I would like to thank Dave Riehl & Steve Leonard for being the
first persons stepping forward to assist.:)

Thank you!!!!
