Dear ICSCC workers
Team Continental hopes that your Racing off season was full of great memories away from racing. We at TC have been busy working with ORP for our upcoming season events and are excited for 2014. As always TC appreciates ALL ICSCC workers dedication to our events and we hope that you choose to join us for as many days as fit your schedule in 2014.
Our schedule will include the following days
March 15th turn worker and instructor training for CCW direction at ORP
March 29th Driver training, CCW
July 25th Driver training, CCW
July 26-27th Bruce Baggett Grand Prix II, CCW both days
Our March 29th Date is in direct conflict with CSCC Driver training and has caused TC to take a hard look at the stretched demand on the ICSCC worker pool that day. To ensure that the event is fully staffed TC has chosen to use ORP workers on March 29th to staff corner stations and basecom. This decision does not exclude ICSCC workers, nor will ICSCC workers who sign up 14 days in advance to attend receive less in stipends than ORP paid workers on that day. We will however limit the number of non-ORP workers who will receive stipends. If you are planning on attending the March 29th school you will need to contact Peter Belfanti to be placed on the worker roster to receive stipend compensation. We will limit stipend workers to the first 3 to sign up. A stipend wait list will be kept in the event there are no-shows. Workers who attend and are not the first three will be considered volunteer and will not receive a stipend. All workers (stipend or not) will receive a TC sponsored meal at lunch time on the 29th.
We will seek for this not to be the case for our July event.
We hope you understand that this decision was not taken lightly by TC, but is necessary to ensure our event is staffed to the minimum required by ICSCC comp regs, and that the economics of the day balance out for TC.
