Another noob question

I'm trying to plan out which remaining events I will be attending. Looking through the Comp Regs only a competitors best 3 races by the same club at the same track will count for season points... correct?

So there are 4 races at PIR this year, but 1 is co-organized by SCCBC and Cascade... if I run all 4 PIR race this year will they all count towards year end points? Or will only the results from the best 3 races count?

I have not heard that CSCC is handing over operations of that event to SCCBC. I believe that it is more of a 'name only' deal. Perhaps SCCBC wanted to maintain a certain number of events for the schedule this year, since cancelling their earlier date request to free up the ICSCC season schedule a bit, as they will only have their newly formatted Dbl weekend schedule. But I may be off in my understanding of this co-host/co-venture/co-op/co-pay(?) deal.

I don't see anybody getting more than three events worth of points at PIR this year.

I asked Kevin Skinner about this at one of our club meetings earlier this year. Ken's intrepretation is correct, you can only count 3 races from PIR towards the championship.
 
So Steve, if you are thinking about not running all 4, come on out to the race weekend at Portland that you are thinking of passing on, and work a turn with us.
(We are very gentle with noobs.)
 
Be cautious Steve, be very cautious. Gentle may be a nice word, but talk to Thomas first... ;-)

Run all 4 and throw out the worst result is my advice, which ain't wortth much, but I keep giving it anyway!
 
Take Wes' advice. For proof look at my last PIR results. No compromise with the application of the rules either, no matter what the reason for the DNF. Better to have a race you can throw out than not.
