Wow - talk about how 35 years changes tracks, in-car film technique, music, hairstyles, etc - apart from the "Blair Witch Cinematography" that gave me motion sickness ......

It is, only the stripes for the drag racing staging lanes has faded a bit!

And that wicked hand held filming technique was too much to handle. Makes a person want to vomit. (And I never get motion sickness!)

Most noticable change I saw was, no inside apex Jersey wall at Turn 9. Safer then but really takes away the character of the corner.

I didn't see walls anywhere around the track, and any guard rails were waaaayy back.

Nope, no walls. Here is one I took in 1967. Notice the parked cars. A little flag draped banner to keep people off the course.

Holy Jeez, I hope that I never spin off going into Turn 3 like that! I'd probably stop rolling at Turn 5.
