25 hour

The 25 at T-hill is underway, and the live timing and scoring can be seen at www.nasa25hour.com.
The McClure/Beachman Caterham is running 12th out of 70+ cars, while Manfred and the C-note team is over 100 laps back. Unfortunately there is no other info to tell what's happening, but the old Z car is obviously struggling right now.
Okay back to the Dawgs...

They have been running pretty consistent lap times throughtout the afternoon. Team C- Note was down around lap 11 for a few hours they are back on track and at least making up spots to cars with mechanical issues.

If you log on to the chat you can follow a bit of race control, and ask questions. Some get answered and some don't.

The two ESR sport racers broke motors early. The Subie caught fire, however, it appears they might be going back out soon. Hard to believe they have 19 hours left.

Bob Mearns started the race for C-Note, and unfortunately suffered a block-ventilating engine failure. 105 minutes later a new engine was installed and the team is back on track.

Rod Powell, another Conference driver, should be finishing up his stint with the Prototype Development Group soon.

It's a very long race, lots of time left yet for the race to develop.

Beachman McClure Blog

Jeff Remfert is currently in the car as of 1830hrs. If you want to follow Beachman McClure Racing here is the blog being looked after Mike McClure. So far they are doing great. They did have a flat and a head light problem but everything is good now and in 12th overall.

Oops, we should have told them that we already tried block-ventilating at T-Hill. It did not work well for us either.

Great they are back at it. Wish I was there also.

The Caterham is up to 5th and the Z is now 50th and continuing to move up. I understand it's as cold down there as it is up here. Must be fun in an open car like McClure's!

Live timing just updated after being down for awhile, and the cat is now 4th and the Z is now 46th and moving up.

I was wondering the same about the open top cars. You sit pretty upright in a cat, and there has to be a lot of air that moves around in there.

They did mention that the winds died down some.

This live T&S stuff is pretty cool, huh? :)

Anybody know what happened to the #40 Frost M3? I know they had to change out the 3.2L for a 2.5 in the #48, but the grey car hasn't turned a lap in a LOOOONG time.

The Caterham is up to THIRD overall (I think one of those FFR cars pitted), the 48 Frost M3 GTR is in 20th (8th in class), the Z is up to 44th (13th), and the grey #40 is showing in 51st overall, seemingly stuck on 213 laps. They've been there for at least 4 hours.

Looks like the Caterham and the M3 from the BMW Store are neck-and-neck, trailing only two teams of professional drivers, mechanics, and crew chiefs in factory-built Porsche racecars!

The Frost #48 is in 30th (9th in class), the Z-car is up to 34th (11th), and the Frost #40 is moving again, having gotten another 26 laps in so far.

You can follow along with Bruce and Mark at beachman-mcclureracing.blogspot.com. They have great commentary and photos.
They also have brake issues.

Looks like the Beachman-McClure team is going to finish as 1st Place of the non-professional teams (third overall)... assuming the last 1.5 hours proceed as expected. Pretty astonishing for such a fragile-looking car.

I did a quick calculation and if Jeff keeps up his 2 minute per lap pace he also could pass the 2006 record of 705 laps. The lead Porsche broke that record with over one and a half hours to go.
The 2nd place Porsche has just passed the 705 lap mark with an hour and 20 minutes to go.

Are you talking about 14th overall, first in E2? That one I know about.

Also, now that it's official, Beachman-McClure Racing finished 3rd overall or, as I've said, first of the teams that don't have full sets of professional drivers and crew.

Yes, car number 24 first in class and 14th over all was a solo driver. Nasa sais they will post information on the other driver as well.

Congrats to Beachman- McClure for 3rd, and C- Note for making up 40 positions after the engine failure. There were many other Northwest teams in it, but it was hard to follow everyone.
