I bought the car last fall with the intension to race it this year and things have changed and just need to sell it. I appreciate everyones knowlege of the car because I don't know much about Miata's or this car.

It would need substantial modification to be SM compliant, and is not eligible for FIP so not sure of its "home" in Group 5, but judging from the pictures and all the extra goodies, it's a lot of race car for the $$ IMO. Should certainly run at the pointy end of Group 2 as a EP car.

Definitely my Miata from years past. Mark Cockle and I built the car in 2002-2003 and it served us very well for several years. It was originally built as an EP car and I ran it as an under-prepared FIP car for a few seasons as it had too many goodies to convert to SM and we just enjoyed driving it. Looks like it has had a respray of the front section which it was ready for. All in all this was/is a great car...if you are thinking about getting into racing this would be an ideal car to begin the process. I sold the car to Bret Stephen who went through his novice program with it in the past couple of years. If I wasn't committed to a different car I would consider buying it back...it's a great car and someone needs to get it back on track!
