Formula Continentals for sale

In 2012 Formula Continental achieved ICSCC Championship Class status. Fifteen different drivers raced in either ICSCC (13) or SCCA (2) events. For 2013 2 new FC drivers and cars have joined the conference family. There are an additional 13 cars sitting in garages......some that will reportedly be hitting the race track in 2013.

More important there are 4 cars currently for sale on Apexspeed right here in the Pacific Northwest. Three of these cars are eligible to compete in SOVREN's exhibition class. All three of these can be had for 8500.00 or less. That's Spec Miata money......you cannot go any faster for the money.

Can an older car run up front? To be honest I do not know, but I can say that my fastest time in my 85 Swift (1:28.1) at Spokane is less that 1.5 seconds behind my lap record in my 99 Mygale. Don't know if I could have won in the Swift at Spokane last year but I am pretty sure it would have been top 2 or 3 in a field of 8. The fourth car for sale is a 95 VD, which in the right hands could run up front.

So if anyone out there is thinking about going racing in an open car with open wheels, and wings, capable
of pulling 2 plus g's in a corner and topping out at 145 mph.........now might be the time.

1 Reynard
2 reynard's
Black vd
Black swift

Threw the swift link in as I believe it is in NorCal. I also think you have to be an apex speed member to view pictures. But it is no cost and approval is granted within minutes. Roger's car is listed on here and apex... I included the link here as it is more detailed.

I believe the 2 Reynards are still available......and eligible to run in SOVREN. The Swift may still be available and the VD is in Alberta.

Mean while two cars that were race last year have been sold to new ICSCC owners, three new to conference FC's have been bought by ICSCC drivers and 4 garage queens have found new owners as well.

Greg- I rented Dave Bennitt's no. 43 FSR for the TNT at PIR Friday and had a blast. Did 146 on the front straight and a number of laps in the 1:14's (which I know isn't qualifying time but still fun for my first day). Do you know of an FC I could rent for another TNT before Spokane?

They really are a great deal considering the lap times they are capable of turning.....and for those who have never driven a formula car or sports racer I recommend that you give it a try.
