I have 4 hand grooved Toyo RA-1 rain tires that would be perfect for next weekend's enduro.
I originally bought them to run the season opener enduro in ’08 (the snow year) on my Honda CRX. I last used these tires on Steve Schaeffer’s PRO3 car in the ’09 end of season enduro in Portland. Going from a brand new set of 225/50/15 RA-1s to these tires, we picked up about 3 seconds a lap in very heavy rain (same driver before and after a pitstop for tires). The tires are narrower than the standard 225 PRO3 tire, and have every second diagonal groove cut deeper across the center of the tire and into the opposite longitudinal groove. The tires are not pristine, and they are getting long in the tooth, but I still think they’d be awesome in heavy rain at Portland, especially given how Portland seems to forgive the age of tires. Date code on the sidewalls is 97V5007.
Not legal for production classes (or IT) as they have been modified.
$250 takes them away! I'm in BC but may be able to help arrange delivery / meet you.
