Can Some on post up Pro3 weekend updates and time sheets?

Newell got pole at 1:29.9 and in the first race i think all 37 cars were all in battles with other cars around them

They held their own in the corners, I was working turn 4. I was impressed with the fact that after the race they DROVE their cars home. G

mechanically i did not have the greatest weekend , with the upper radiator hose popping off half way though the first lap of the first session on Friday after driving 45 mins to the track. and then at least one ring broke the next session out so lots of blue smoke coming out the rest of the weekend. only wheel bearing i hadnt replaced since ORP was very bad. BUT this may have been the best weekend a club racer could have. i drove Tuckers car and ran a 1.32.149 personal best in an ITA car. and with the side by side racing i had in the corners and something most of the pro3 drivers already know. I will find out more this coming week but i may move to pro3 for next year and with a new paint job.

Not sure if an attachment will work, so I'll do this the long way! Results below from Sunday's 40-minute PRO3 race. 37 cars in attendance; 37 cars all took the green flag. There were 5 cars DNF for various reason, none of them due to contact with other cars. We ran a clean race with a lot of tight battles throughout the grid and based on my informal fan interviews afterwards, we were a lot of fun to watch! One NASCAR fan sitting next to me in the stands during the NASCAR race commented that he was disappointed in the lack of action from the headliner...saw my PRO3 hat and said that our race was more exciting to watch...

A special thank you to our Conference worker friends. It was an intimidating event with a lot of unknowns (like the schedule, and where we were supposed to be...) but we had help behind the scenes. It was a HUGE help to have friendly, known faces everywhere around the track (especially Pre-grid!) helping to decipher the archane instructions from the promoter as to where and when we were supposed to be. Thanks to Linda in Timing and Scoring for the transponders and the grid sheets! Thanks to John for his efforts as 'PRO3 Liason' with the Promoter. Thanks to all our worker friends in white on the corners. I hope you enjoyed the show!

Thanks Mike. Yes, Pro3 was the star of the weekend. Even those NASCAR officials were impressed and asked questions. The weekend was a three ring circus sometimes and Pro3 always came out the winner. The GASS T&S was really impressed with the amount of cars Pro3 put on the track. She was from Iowa and has not see racing grids that large AND well behaved. PRO3 ROCKS!!! I would like to say to #92 Eric, great job on holding his line. Four cars approached him at S/F and you could hear the crowd swallowing their stomach because they all split on each side. The crowd thought the were going to see some action butt you guys all made it look easy!! Again thanks for the showing and congrats to Andrew.

Story on pic 192?
(page 10)

As we five cars entered the chicken, Dan Rogers hits the curbing, upsets the car and goes around. It was a crap-shoot as to where the car would end up and it was looking awfully busy to track right with Jeff and Rick already dodging the Tic Tac car. I was left with a slit-second decision to either go behind him or hope he kept rolling back into the chicane. Dan stops...I stop...about one inch from his passenger door. I knew it was close, but didn't realize it was that close! I couldn't go around him as I was too close to his car. Backing up didn't seem prudent...being a hot track and all that.

We stopped and chatted, ordered a pizza, then went on our merry ways! lol When you're stopped dead on the racing surface, every second that ticks by feels like a minute. Dan refired the car, backed up and we both sped off to regain our qualifying positions (only for me to lose the four spaces I made up by going off in T11, but that's a different tale altogether.

And you should have seen the Umbrella Girls in vintage dress!
Quite the affair, I'm ready to do it again. And yes thanks to the local volunteers that were instrumental in keeping us on time and ready to go even with the constant changes to allow the "Main Event" to run. At Edmonton the sedans (50+ cars that included a hand full of Pro3s) were told if they messed up one more time or oiled the track once more that they would be asked to leave before the race. (No PRO3 cars were guilty then and this weekend too was clean. One car in T12 at the end and one flat tow because of a mechanical issue, but Frank coasted it well off line so after 2 laps on local yellow the flag was canceled. As you can see from the pics above in the chicane the racing was CLOSE and fun.

Tucker: Ting always takes great pictures. I like how she doesn't just take "photos" but instead they have an artistic bent to them. Very nice indeed and I hope you bring her along to Pacific Raceways!

Eric: great video, thank you.

To all the PRO 3 bunch. VERY nice race. congrats's to all. Lance and Gary and the rest of the gang out did them selves on getting this grid on the lineup. I had a chance to talk to some fans, a couple of NASCAR drivers and officals and the bottom line was that all of them were VERY impressed at a "LOCAL" club/group. A whole lot of them even said that they thought the PRO3 was the star of the weekend. WAY TO GO LETS DO IT AGAIN
