Turn Stations

Are the turn stations where we can see them?

Are you looking at every station on track?

Everyone should take a look at this video, it is just about every drivers worst nightmare (except fire of course). Sitting in the middle of the track, blown up, no way to move and just waiting for someone to come and hit you (which eventually happened). This is why they tell you to keep your belts and all safety equipment ON.

As much as we wish we had cranes with huge electromagnets to snatch a car out of the way, it ain't gonna happen in this life time. Keep those belts tight!

Ain't it the truth, ain't it the truth.

I don't know if we just couldn't see the 'surface' flag being displayed. The Yellow flagger was at his business, for sure. Sometimes it takes bit to notice the line of oil, but given the smoke out of the back, and the car spinning in his own goo... well, you can only hope to catch it visually and put the 2+2 together quickly.

Also pays testament to a standing yellow preceding that waving. A little heads-up for the drivers going in.

Thanks, John. That vid characterizes exactly why we like people to stay tight until everything can be brought under some better control.

That was a bad situation in the video for sure. However, some flags were waving. Maybe the wrong flag.. perhaps a surface waving?

Regardless of that, the car was stopped SMACK on the racing line. Where in the heck were the drivers eyes??? That car should have been seen by all well before reaching the apex of the corner unless, they were all 'focused' on the apex and not even looking down the track.

As far as seeing turn stations, I'm a little concerned with that at The Ridge from the videos that have been posted so far. We've had an almost constant 'thing' going on at Pacific with the track mgmt. in order to keep stations 2 and 8 positioned so they are at least 'close' to the drivers line of sight.

Heaven's I hope it wasn't a Surface flag being waved!!!! Red...Yellow...Red....Yellow is all the driver's will see.
OK, maybe the last car didn't see the flag, BUT if he/she was looking ahead, he/she should have seen the car in the middle of the damned track.

And as for the Ridge, Rod, Joe, and the powers to be have pretty much gotten it right so far. The turn stations shouldn't be any different and if a station or two isn't placed quite right, they will see that it is. Remember, what we have seen on the videos so far is still a work in progress.
Have faith. This complex is gonna ROCK!!
