Safety Wire

I use snap-mount connectors for my seat belts. According to Section 1105.B.2, these need to be secured with safety wire or cotter pins. There is already a small hole in the hinge part of the snap mount, so safety wire seems to be an easier solution.

Could someone advise on the preferred method of wiring the snap-mount? does it need to be sired to the eye-bolt?

Thanks for your help in advance.

If your snaps are like the ones I have, Walt,
the wire through the hole acts as a pin.
So all you need is a small loop that passes through
the hole, and that locks the gate of the mount.
If there's any force against the gate,
something else is really wrong...

Make sense?
