Just curious about why we use the pro-pits at PIR now?

I remember always using the outside pits when my Dad was racing. Why did that change?

It seems like there is more space and it is easier for people to get in and out of the track... but I'm sure there is a good reason why the change was made.

So the drag racers can use the South Pit area on Friday and Saturday nights.

Nice thing about it for us campers is; They slowly increase the muffler requirement through the night so by about 10:00PM they are all at street legal noise levels. Makes almost soothing engine sounds to go to sleep (except for the bikes)
