I've wanted to do something for the volunteers for awhile. Now we get to dedicate the event and it's poster to those who make it all happen.
So please make the trip to Pacific Raceways to honor these special few this July. Join them at the Saturday night BBQ, share some beers and give thanks.
And finally as a message for the drivers: You can race and and volunteer. Volunteering isn't an 'either/or' scenario. Much work needs to be done, and many positions can be held (or assisted with) without having to interfere with getting your car on track. Our club president, vice president, race chair, treasurer, points keeper, secretary, eboard rep etc.. All still race while holding these positions.
I invite you to send an email to the race chair, the treasurer, the president or vice president and ask what minor things you can do to help out. The easier it is to get the job done, the more fun it is for the volunteer and as a result we have more volunteers. The harder it is to get the job done, the fewer will want to do it (or keep doing it). The term, "The More the Merrier", has never been more true.
