Attention - all drivers attending the test and tune, Driver's school and Enduro at The Ridge this weekend - we will be performing tech inspections beginning Friday night, through Saturday between sessions - and Sunday morning. We expect to do quite a few, so the following tips will help you successfully pass tech and make it faster for the tech inspectors:

If you are doing test and tune only, you do not need a tech, but you should get an annual anyway and have it done for your next race.
If you are attending driver school - your driving instructor will tech your car.
If you are entering one of the enduros - you will need a tech - get it done as soon as you can this weekend because the tech inspectors will be busy Sunday morning catching the folks that show up on Sunday morning.

Follow the handy flowchart attached to this post (I believe it was created by Rick Bostrom) it's an excellent guide.

Get a 2016 Annual Inspection form (attached to this message) and complete the driver information and sign it, have it ready along with your logbook and racing gear so the tech inspector can quickly complete the form without waiting for you to fill out your name, class, number etc.

If you are pitted with a bunch of your racing friends, get everyone together, fill out all your forms and find one of us tech inspectors and arrange when we can come do the whole group at once.

Review the tech inspection form and make sure your car meets all of the requirements; typically we see:
Missing E sticker or electrical shutoff stickers
Battery positive posts not covered
Holes in gloves and socks

Please find your roll bar stamp so you can show us exactly where it is without having to spend 5 minutes searching for it. Mark it with something so you can find it quickly.

John Moore is Chief of Tech, I will be assisting doing techs on Friday night, all day Saturday (between open wheel sessions) and early Sunday, but don't wait until Sunday if you can avoid it because I'm going racing!

Here's a message from Steward Rick Bostrom:

"Getting an annual car tech and an annual gear tech - which are now separate - will really help you fly through registration and get on track more efficiently this year. We would like to see as many cars and sets of gear get annual inspections as possible as early in the year as we can. This will greatly reduce the workload on tech people and allow the majority of people to have an opportunity to receive a tech sticker at or near registration for the rest of the year."
