I came to racing from playing baseball. so I'm a stat junkie. Nice to be able to pull up all the great names from the past and remember who the studs were in various classes. Very cool!

Doing the work to transcribe that from HTML into a database was far-and-away the most unpleasant work on the redesign, but it was also the most interesting. Whenever people talk about the incipient death of amateur OW racing, I look at the stats for ICSCC champions (and remember, I only have them to 1975) and notice how far back some of the OW classes have gone. Some interesting trends in there, too.

2003: only 6 drivers scored points for PRO3. Only 3 drivers made more than one race. It was a rocky start.
