I can't believe I remembered my login

and I'm so proud of myself I'm making an almost
entirely gratuitous post just to say 'hi' to
everyone who doesn't do 'internet forums' any more.

Racing related- how do 'observation' races work these days?
I've been beached for the last few years for various reasons,
and would need to do one (or more!) before being set loose on the rest of you.

thanks,
Toby

Tobias! Long time no see! :)

As I understand them, "observation" races let formerly licensed drivers get back out in the fray in your usual race group(s) BUT with a marker on the car so everyone is aware that the stewards (and your fellow drivers) are taking the opportunity to check whether you've "lost it."

If it's been long enough, I wonder if an abbreviated/modified "novice program" might be better? (Speculating, not judging or commenting...)

I am confident that there are enough people that remember you here in Conference (like your original Novice instructor, me!) that would vouch for you to the License Director (the guy responsible for the decision) that you would likely be considered for an observation race to re-enter normal ICSCC Senior licensing. The guy you need to contact is License Director Rob Scholl @ 253-298-8465 and then go through our online race licensing on MotorsportReg which goes to my wife Linda Bostrom who is License Registrar. Glad to hear you might be coming back to us Toby!
