Hello all,
the Northern Alberta Sports Car Club out of Edmonton Alberta has secured the Edmonton Indy Car track for 3 race weekends. We just enjoyed the track this past Aug 11/12 and the next date is August 25 / 27. The track is located just outside of the downtown core. It is at the municipal airport, it has a ton of run off in most areas, great paved pit area that as you can imagine is quite large. Lots of track time for many categories of race cars, open wheel, sports racers and tin tops alike. So, please accept this post as an open invitation to all. From Spokane it's a beautiful drive north, about 7 hours to Calgary and then another 2.5 to Edmonton. From the Seattle or Vancouver Washington or Vancouver BC it's also a beautiful drive through the Okanagon valley. The track is fast, its a braking track to be sure and it's really fun and challenging to drive.
We don't get this opportunity often and would of course like to see grids as large as possible. I know down south you all have many tracks to choose from within a 5 hour drive and this is a tad longer but we sure would like to see some of you up here racing so please give this racing opportunity some serious consideration and we hope to see you there.
