It looks like both the Rose City opener at Portland and the Military Salute Grand Prix at Pacific have the minimum entries needed for the Toyo Contingency to kick in. This has been discussed earlier in the year, but as a refresher and to clarify the procedure, it is being brought up again ATT.

5-12 entries the award is $125 for 1st-3rd and $50 for 4th -12th. The winner is by random drawing which needs to be done at the track after the race becomes official. You must then send official results at some later date with a picture of your car showing you are in compliance with regards to Toyo stickers affixed to the front fenders. This information must be sent to Ron Cortez at Aim Tires in Sonoma, CA. His email address is AIMTIRES AT AOL DOT COM. If you have any questions please direct them to Ron or you can communicate with either Jeff Clark or myself.

Looks like a good year in CSM given the contingency program which we were able to put in place for 2012. This program ONLY applies to Conference Spec Miata (CSM) as it specs the Toyo RA-1 or R-888. If you know anyone running Toyo's who is not afraid of the engine claiming rule of CSM, encourage them to jump to CSM. If a minimum of 12 entries occurs, the payoff increases to $150 1-3rd, $85 4th-10th, and $65 11th on. Again, all these awards are by random drawing by the competitors at the track.

Good luck.......

Bill
