Any Portlandlandians want to be on the City Noise Board?

I am cross posting this from the PDXracer site. We are in exile up in Vancouver, or I would volunteer. I would much rather have a friendly face on the noise board than somone who complains about the noise genereated during bicycle races at PIR.

Portland's volunteer Noise Review Board
<http://www.portlandonline.com/oni/index.cfm?a=84806&c=37423> recently
announced a "Citizen at Large" seat is vacant. The Noise Review Board is a
five-member committee that includes a professional in the field of
acoustics, a representative from the construction field, and three citizens
at large. Meetings occur on the second Wednesday of each month, and offer
both citizens and the business community the opportunity to be directly
involved in City policies and decisions related to noise pollution.

Information about the time commitment, duties, and how to apply is posted
here <http://www.portlandonline.com/bds/index.cfm?a=382079&c=44740> .
Please consider volunteering to serve on this important Board which works
address noise issues in our urban neighborhoods.

Might not be a bad idea, since I spent several years as broadcast engineer, and know a thing or two about sound.

But then again, I may just punch the Mayor in the face if I am forced to see him.
