2015 PRO3 Calendars Now Available



The BMW PRO3 group are again providing free PRO3 wall calendars locally, a $12 value to the rest of the country. To get your free copy, visit one of the following listed businesses that have kindly agreed to serve as a distribution point for the 2015 PRO3 Calendar. Use your favorite search engine to get their business addresses.

Enjoy 12 colorful months of BMW PRO3 action racing at tracks all around the Pacific Northwest. Additional support has been provided by the Puget Sound BMW Club, 425 Motorsports, Northwest Differentials, DynaSport, Accurate Engines and Haury’s Lake City Collision.

This high quality calendar features PRO3 images shot through the lens of local photographers and designed by BMW Club member Matt Ferbache. For those that own the 2014 calendar, this one is ten times better!

Looking at that list of distributors reminded me of that last motorcycle rally... jaunt, really, that I went on. I would prefer the rallies that wander around and checkpoints at little Mom & Pop stores along the way. But this one went from H-D shop to H-D shop from Tigard to Clackamas to Stayton and such. Wound up a big shindig at a casino. (Note: I don't ride a Harley, so they were mostly in the way.)

So I looked at that list and saw a Shop Hop Rally. TSD, Hare & Hound, w/Poker hands, what? Maybe it's been done, but I haven't seen any pictures.

Happy to announce that PRO3 are adding Hagerty Insurance as a sponsor for PRO3 in 2015. They will provide $2,000 in gas cards that we will raffle away after select races this year. Probably will do 40x$50 for the values. To be eligible you’ll need to display a Hagerty decal on each side of your PRO3 car, like we do with the other PRO3 sponsors. I do not have their decals in hand yet.

Hagerty are now providing race car insurance. The race car is covered except when at pre-grid or on the track.

Starke races in SOVREN, and helped bring PRO3 to the July 4th Historics event last year. Starke is also one of the founding members of the local BMW Club some 30 years ago.

Race Car Rates with Hagerty are Agreed Values and a couple of price points are:

Agreed Value = Premium
$15k = $100
$25k = $130
$35k = $181
$45k = $232

You can get whatever value you want (not just these 4), and Starke will calc the price accordingly.

Thanks to Bimmerworld for their continued support of PRO3. We'll be handing out (40) $50 Gifts Cards to drivers after select races during the 2015 ICSCC Season.

As in the past, most of the prizes are awarded via raffle after select races. To be eligible you must be entered in a PRO3 race and have the qualifying decals on the car. In total we expect around $36,000 in support from our sponsors. Of that, BMW Northwest pay out $10k at the end of the year, and Toyo Tires is anticipated to pay out around $15k in Toyo Bucks once the dust settles.

On average, each PRO3 start in 2015 saw around $90 in support back from our sponsors.

(Side note, when typing this, everything is showing flush right. Hopefully it posts flush left. We shall see.)

Besides the regular ultra-competitive ICSCC championship schedule, PRO3 will be back for the third time at the SOVREN Historics in early July, and run for our first time at the Portland Rose Cup in Late July. PRO3 have also been invited to run at the BMW CCA Club Racing at Laguna Seca as part of the Annual O'fest celebration in late August, this year marking BMW's 100th year as a company. So a dozen or so PRO3 cars are already signed up to this sold out event.

PRO3 drivers, remember you have until November 16 to get your completed form in to be eligible for the $10,000 end of season awards from BMW Northwest. The PRO3 Top 10 in season ending points receive $500 from BMW NW, and 11-last in PRO3 points enter in a raffle for (20) $250 checks. One entry in the raffle for each PRO3 race entered in 2016.

Note the folks that are Top 10 in points, you must submit a completed form to me. The $500 is not automatic unless I get your completed form by November 16! (If only 9 out of 10 of the Top 10 submit the forms, then we split that $500 and award $250 to 22 rather than 20 of the other PRO3 drivers who drove in 2016 (and turned in the forms!).
