    Pro3 at Rose Cups

The BMW Cup was featured on the Rose Cup poster. Unfortunately, only 6 entries were received, so the latest news is that those entries will be split up between the Rose Cup group and the Small Bore group. Let me guess. There were too many events in too short a time frame. Going to miss the...

    formula car chassis donation

Some of us had to deal with a CF that came to rest shiney side down at Pacific Raceway last weekend. The driver was trapped in a position that made it difficult to breath. Back when we were all 26, three of us would have been able to roll the car on its side with ease. Now that we are mostly in...

    kart race at the Ridge

Just some information for those who were trash talking about kart racing at the Ridge next month. There was an elimination race at the Ridge on the karting track during the Lucky Dog weekend. The overall winner was an 11 year old kid who took the drivers to school while setting a new course...

    ICSCC schedule

The ICSCC website doesn't show a finalized schedule or even the date for the board meeting that will do so. I'm itching to compile my personal ace schedule for the year. I'm wondering about conflicts with all the clubs I support. Is the schedule getting close to final? Thanks.

    Daytona 24 hours 2016

Three weeks to the 24 hours of Daytona. Are any Pacific Northwest racers going to be driving, crewing, working? Want to be able to cheer on our local talent while watching the event live.

Turn 2B flip of car 75

Does anyone have a picture of the damage to the fuel cell inflicted when car 75 spun into the back past turn station 2B? It was very impressive to see. The can split wide open, but the bladder did it's job and kept the fuel inside. If it hadn't, that wreck could have ended very differently.

    Conference Safety Team

Just an idea here that I'm throwing out to see what people think. Conference has 5 clubs hosting its events. Portland and Mission both have some nice trucks, tools and people to respond to crashes. IRDC is working towards doing the same. ORP and Spokane have the issue of not having enough...

Who is going to Daytona 24?

The 24 Hours of Daytona is only a month away. Who is going and who is driving this year? Randy? Making plans for a 24 hour party and want to know who to watch.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I remember correctly, the forum uses vBulletin software. If so, then the article below may be of interest. Hackers use botnet to scrape Google for vulnerable sites The botnet not only injects the malicious code into the target sites, but also scrapes Google in...

    2013 Runoffs - Fair Warning

I just warnted to give fair warning to those working on the 2013 schedule. There are quite a number of volunteers discussing going to the SCCA Runoffs during the week of September 16-22, 2013. Schedule an event on the weekends of Sept. 14-15 or Spet. 21-22 at your own risk. If half of the...

Worker housing for the Memorial Day ORP race weekend

For those workers that are lurking here, I've reserved the Moro house known as Breaking Wind Lodge for the Memorial Day weekend. If the bunkhouse by the track isn't your thing, let me know and I'll put you on the list. If the place doesn't fill with workers, we will throw the rest open to...

    Bill Carr

Pass The word to those that know Bill Carr. Bill has been a long time volunteer at both SCCA and ICSCC events. Email from Bobby Smethers: I just received word from Hugh Fig – Bill Carr is in St Vincent (Barnes Rd) in ICU, critical condition. I phoned their patient information line (...

    small toolkit found

As I was driving out of Pacific Raceway this afternoon after a long day on Turn 7, I noticed a small grey case laying in the street just outside of the track. It looked like a tool case and so it proved to be. If someone is missing a small tool kit that they perhaps left on the outside of...

    What a zoo!

Whew, I'm glad that one is behind us. The Doernbecher Dash was a real zoo this last weekend. Between the impossible schedule on Saturday and the cars crashing and burning on Sunday, it was a real workout for everyone in every specialty. Some incredible racing skills were on display. Happily...

    Gentlemen, start your excuses!

Ok, let's hear all the excuses. The stewards were still talking to drivers (probably still are) when I left the track over two hours ago. Workers were getting writers cramps all afternoon. Lots of contact resulting in wild rides over the curbs and bent cars. I know you guys can do better...

    Gordon Jones

Gordon was instructing yesterday at the Cascade school when the Subaru WRX he was riding in had a big incident on the back straight at PIR. The car turned right into the concrete barrier across from the turn 9 station, hitting the wall hard enough to deploy the air bags. It then slide back...

This is a call out to all volunteers.
